AirlineRatings.com, a website known for its comprehensive assessments of the aviation industry, has compiled a rating of the world's safest airlines for 2025.

Air New Zealand topped the list. It is followed by Qantas, as well as three companies that shared the third position: Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, and Emirates.

The rating was compiled based on monitoring 385 airlines. The authors took into account factors such as the age and size of the fleet, the number of incidents, pilot skills, and the passing of international safety inspections.

This year, newcomers such as Iberia and Vietnam Airlines entered the ranking, while some traditional leaders, such as Singapore Airlines and KLM, did not make it into the top ten, although they maintain a high level of safety.

Turkey's flagship airline, Turkish Airlines (THY) rounds out the top ten safest carriers.
