On January 5-9, seventy-eight young women who graduated from the Young Women Leaders Program, a U.S. Department of State-funded program called the “U.S. Studies Institutes” (SUSI), met at the Global Leadership Forum (GLOW) in Prague, Czech Republic.

Organized by the Global Leadership Consortium and supported by the U.S. Department of State, the GLOW Forum brought together alumni from the past three years, creating a unique environment of interaction and collaboration across disciplines. Chynar Karliyeva, a second-year student at the Faculty of Cyber-Physical Systems at the Oguz Han University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan, was selected to participate in the Forum.

The forum aimed to equip future leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully implement meaningful community-based projects. Through interactive sessions, mentoring, and peer-to-peer learning, participants honed their skills to develop their future projects, broadened their worldview, and built a strong support network.

From projects to promote environmental sustainability to programs to improve education and increase opportunities for women’s professional development, the diverse projects showcased the innovative spirit and dedication of these young women. The forum served as an important platform for women to not only develop their own projects, but also to connect with like-minded people and build strong relationships.
