The event was attended by specialists of the plant and representatives of the company of the Republic of Korea "Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd." led by her President Choi Yong Ukom.

The ceremony has become a landmark event that marks an important stage in the development of both the plant and the entire shipbuilding industry of the country. The keel laying symbolizes the strength, reliability and durability of the future structure. The new dry cargo will comply with modern standards, ensuring the effective use of resources.

The construction of dry cargo loads for the “Türkmendeňizderýaýollary” agency is carried out as part of the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan as of August 31, 2023 on the improvement of the material and technical base of the transport industry.

This project was launched on the basis of a contract signed in September 2023 between Turkmenistan and the South Korean company, and includes the construction of two vessels with a carrying capacity of 6100 tons. The first blocks of the vessels under construction were taken to the construction site on November 11, 2024.
