Freestyle Wrestling Championship Ends in Turkmenistan

The National Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships were held in Turkmenistan. The city of Turkmenbashi was the venue for the championship.

In the freestyle wrestling competition in the weight category up to 79 kilograms, Alp Arslan Begendzhov won the gold medal. Ashir Kakamyradov won the silver medal. Abrai Shatlykov won the bronze medal.

We will add that last year, Alp Arslan Begendzhov became the world champion among wrestlers under 20 years old at the youth tournament, which was held in September in the Spanish city of Pontevedra.
