The World SAMBO Championships 2020 will pass behind the closed doors

The World SAMBO Championships 2020 which will take place in Serbia will pass without spectators, as was informed by TASS on it referring to the press-service of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS). Organizers of the World SAMBO Championships 2020 have brought a number of restrictions in tournament. Because of non-stable epidemiological situations the tournament will pass in Serbia without spectators. - The world championship organising committee has used the best efforts to minimise risks of disease of sportsmen. For this purpose all participants of competitions - from sportsmen and trainers to umpires and the medical personnel - will be obliged to conform to the rules strictly safety. The first step - delivery of the PTSR-TEST for presence of COVID-19 72 hours before arrival in the Republic of Serbia, following - creation for all participants of competitions of "clean zone», excluding occurrence in it extraneous people, that is all moving in Serbia will occur exclusively between hotel and arena. It is obvious that tournament will pass in these conditions without spectators, - President of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) Vasily Shestakov Vasily Shestakov stated. In the competition will take part over 400 sportsmen. In Serbia the youth superiority of the world will take place also. On the site of FIAS direct online broadcast of tournament will be organised. The World SAMBO Championships 2020 will pass in the city of Novi Sad. Initially tournament had to pass in Ashkhabad, but in connection with the restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Federation of sambo of Turkmenistan has been compelled to refuse the tournament organisation. The tournament will be combined with the youth superiority of the world planned earlier in Serbia and will last from November 5 to November 8. It is expected that in competitions will take part more than 400 sportsmen from 30 countries.
