OJSC "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" (TULM) took a significant step in the development of international transport logistics by organizing the first container train that departed from Uzbekistan to Brazil. The departure took place on Wednesday, December 11, from the Tashkent First Dry Port Terminal, where a cargo of urea was loaded.

The train included 54 forty-foot containers, each of which holds 28 tons of fertilizer. This project highlights Turkmenistan's growing role as a key transit hub on the Eurasian continent and opens up new opportunities for trade between Central Asia and South America.

The train route passes through the port of Turkmenbashi, after which it will continue its journey via a feeder route through the territories of Azerbaijan and Georgia. In the port of Poti (Georgia), the containers will be reloaded onto a ship that will deliver them to the Brazilian port of Paranagua.

According to calculations, the cargo delivery time will be from 60 to 70 days. The railway route to the port of Poti will take about 20 days, and the sea part of the route will take another 35-45 days.

This project demonstrates the potential for developing container transport in the region, which could help increase trade volumes and improve logistics infrastructure.
