Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the head of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council
On December 17, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council Eric Stewart.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, paying special attention to the prospects for the development of trade and economic relations. Constructive relations have been established with large American companies to implement important projects in our country. A significant role in this regard is given to the Turkmen-American Business Council.
The guest highly appreciated the measures taken in Turkmenistan to create a favorable business climate and expressed the interest of American business in expanding cooperation with our country.
In turn, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan is open to international cooperation and is ready to intensify partnership with the United States in various fields.
Particular attention was paid to environmental protection issues. The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to environmental safety and actively cooperates with international organizations in this area.
The high assessment of our country's efforts at the international level is fully evidenced by the resolutions of the UN General Assembly adopted in 2024 on the initiative of Turkmenistan: "2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust", "Central Asia - a Zone of Peace, Trust and Cooperation", "United Nations Friendship Games", "Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia". The head of the Khalk Maslakhaty thanked the United States of America for their support, according to the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
