On December 11, the first block train headed to Brazil departed from the Tashkent terminal First Dry Port Terminal. The train includes 54 forty-foot containers, each filled with 28 tons of urea, Logistan.info reported, an information site about the economy of Central Asia.

The train route runs through the territories of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia. In the Georgian port of Poti, the containers will be reloaded onto a ship, which will deliver them by sea to the Brazilian port of Paranagua.

The shipper is Uzkimyoimpeks, a single agent responsible for export-import operations in the chemical industry of Uzbekistan.

The total delivery time for the cargo will be from 60 to 70 days. The railway section from Uzbekistan to the port of Poti will be covered in 20 days. Delivery by sea from Poti to the port of Paranagua will take another 35-45 days.
