What, where, when: a selection of cultural events for this weekend
The upcoming weekend in Turkmenistan will delight residents and guests of the country with a rich cultural program. The repertoire includes concerts with the participation of foreign musicians, performances of symphony orchestras, as well as bright plays.
Two musical events at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater attract special attention:
A concert of the Berlin State Orchestra from Germany will be held on November 22 at 19:00.
A joint performance of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan with Korean masters of art will be held on November 23 at 19:00.
Also, one of the main events will be a concert of the famous Italian jazz trio Antonio Flint, organized as part of the European Culture Week. The musicians invite residents and guests of Ashgabat to the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater on November 24 at 19:00. The program will combine jazz rhythms, ballads and melodies inspired by Turkmen culture, performed together with young national artists.

State Russian Drama Theatre named after A.S. Pushkin:
November 22 – “Family Secret” (19:00),
November 23 – “Masha and the Bear” (12:00) and “Sisters” (19:00),
November 24 – two showings of “Little Red Riding Hood” (11:00 and 13:00), as well as the play “Friendship of Peoples” (19:00).
Mollanepes Students Theater:
November 23 – “Amanat giýew” (19:00),
November 24 – “Gulki agşamy” (19:00).
State Drama Theater named after Aman Gulmammedov of the city of Arkadag:
November 23 – “Şowhunly tomaşa” (19:00),
November 24 – “Gumly gelin” (19:00).
Turkmen State Puppet Theater:
November 23 – “Alýaňak” (17:00) and “Juwan kalbym joşanda” (19:00),
November 24 – two performances of the play “Balykçy we balyjyk” (12:00 and 17:00) and the production of “Şadyýan şow” (19:00).
