Turkmen-Uzbek film "Magtymguly Fragi" to be presented at Almaty Film Festival
The Turkmen-Uzbek film "Magtymguly Fragi", which was recently recognized as "Best Feature Film" at the IV International Film Festival "Gorkut ata" held in Ashgabat, will now be presented at the Eurasia Film Festival in Almaty.
The XVII International Film Festival "Eurasia", which will bring together more than 15 countries this year, will be held from November 24 to 30. Its competition program includes 12 films reflecting a rich palette of cultures and views, ranging from Bangladesh and South Korea to Austria and Qatar.
The film "Magtymguly Fragi", as well as the film "Tree of Destiny" by "Turkmenfilm", which has already been to a number of festivals, are participating in the competition of Central Asian countries and the Turkic world, which will feature 9 works by filmmakers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Tatarstan (Russia) and Yakutia (Russia).

The film "Magtymguly Fragi" (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan) takes viewers back to the 18th century, telling about the youth of the great poet and thinker. The film explores his path to knowledge, passionate desire for national unity and love for his homeland.
"The Tree of Destiny" (Turkmenistan) addresses the tragic events of the Great Patriotic War, connecting personal stories with the destinies of nations.
