Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Iran agreed to hold joint events
Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation on Wednesday, discussing various aspects of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
The parties noted the intensification of high-level contacts, exchanged views on the implementation of the agreements reached during the meetings of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty with the President of the IRI, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
The ministers agreed to hold meetings in bilateral and multilateral formats in the near future. Particular attention was paid to trade and economic relations, including the work of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Cooperation, the 18th meeting of which is planned to be held before the end of the year.
They also discussed holding a number of joint events in November and December 2024, including the Iran Agro Food exhibition, Children's Friendship Week, jewelry master classes and other cultural events.
