“KazMunayGas” and CNPC outline areas of cooperation in the oil and gas industry
Kazakh National Oil Company “KazMunayGas” and China National Petroleum Corporation CNPC outlined areas of cooperation in the oil and gas industry.
This issue was discussed during the meeting of Chairman of the Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” Askhat Hasenov with General Director of CNPC for Central Asia and Russia, Chen Huailong, as reported by the press service of the national company.
In particular, the parties considered the possibility of cooperation in the areas of geological exploration, petrochemistry, oil refining, as well as oil transportation.
The Kazakh National Oil Company "KazMunayGas" and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) have outlined directions for cooperation in the oil and gas industry.
Within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit held in Astana, “KazMunaiGas” and CNPC signed a Framework Agreement on deepening strategic cooperation in the oil and gas industry.
In addition, agreements were reached to hold Kazakh-Chinese technical seminars on the exchange of technologies for the exploration and development of oil and gas fields. This year, the city of Kyzylorda has been chosen as the venue for these seminars.
