Heads of State at Ashgabat Forum: Dialogue on Peace and Development
Today, a plenary session of the International Conference “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development” was held in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The following heads of state arrived to participate in the forum: President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The guests include the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the UNESCO General Conference, heads of international organizations, members of foreign governments, famous scientists, cultural figures and diplomats.
The forum is being held as part of a large program of celebrations of the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, which includes many festive events organized both in our country and abroad. The main goals of the international conference are to popularize the classical heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, study the relationship between the languages and literatures of the peoples of the East, his role in the development of national statehood, and the contribution of the humanist poet to the treasury of universal spiritual values, TDH reported.
The venue for the Forum was the large conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
