Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Kazakhstan held a bilateral meeting
Today, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Turkmenistan on an official visit.
At the International Airport of the capital, where the national flags of the two countries were raised on flagpoles and a guard of honor was lined up, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, warmly and cordially welcomed the distinguished guest.
At the ramp of the plane, children in national costumes presented the head of the friendly state with traditional bread and salt and flowers.
According to TDH, at the airport, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a bilateral meeting.
During the meeting, confidence was expressed that the results of the current visit of the head of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan and the high-level talks in Ashgabat will become an important event and will give a new impetus to the multifaceted partnership between the two countries with a long-term perspective.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty for hospitality and noted his personal contribution to the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, the press service of Akorda reports.
It was emphasized that Kazakh-Turkmen relations are dynamically developing in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual support. The official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan is intended to bring interstate relations to a qualitatively new level.
