Turkmen Ambassador presented credentials to the President of the Hellenic Republic
On October 8, 2024, a ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in Athens for the presentation of credentials by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic, T. Komekov, to the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Hellenic Republic (with residence in Rome).
During the ceremony, the President of the Hellenic Republic conveyed warm greetings to the President of Turkmenistan and expressed best wishes to the Turkmen people. The Head of the Hellenic Republic noted the significant contribution of the policy of positive neutrality, pursued by the President of Turkmenistan in promoting peace, stability and security at the regional and international levels.
In turn, Ambassador T. Komekov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes of the President of Turkmenistan to the President of the Hellenic Republic and the people of this country. During the ceremony, both sides expressed their interest in further promoting friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Hellenic Republic in areas of mutual interest.
During his working visit to the Hellenic Republic, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic, T. Komekov, also presented copies of his credentials to the Head of the Protocol Department of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aglaia Balta.
The Ambassador also met with Alexandra Papadopoulou, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic. During the meeting, current aspects of bilateral cooperation in priority areas of political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian nature were discussed. Special attention was given to the implementation of bilateral visits.
The sides confirmed their commitment to maintaining an active dialogue to support the further development and deepening of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Hellenic Republic.
