On October 6, Turkmenistan marks a mournful date - Day of Remembrance of the victims of the Ashgabat earthquake of 1948, as well as the heroes who died on the battlefields of all wars.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the mourning ceremony of laying flowers at the monuments of the Memorial Complex "Halk hakydasy".
Memorial ceremonies took place today both in the capital and in all regions of the country.
In connection with Day of Remembrance, which this year coincides with Sunday, the President of Turkmenistan signed a decree the day before to move the day off from October 6 to 7.
