Student from turkmenistan wins ukrainian combat jiu-jitsu cup
Rustam Rahmankulov, a student at the Central Ukrainian National Technical University and a proud citizen of Turkmenistan, secured a gold medal at the Ukrainian Combat Jiu-Jitsu Cup. The event took place from September 27 to 29 in the scenic Carpathian region of western Ukraine.
Competing in the 63 kg weight class in the close-contact category, Rahmankulov showcased exceptional skill and technique, earning the top spot and bringing honor to his home country.
The tournament was a crucial step in the selection process for the upcoming World Championship, which is set to take place in Poland from November 29 to December 2, 2024.
This victory adds to Rahmankulov’s impressive list of accomplishments. In November 2023, he also claimed first place at the World Combat Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the full-contact category, held in Daugavpils, Latvia.
