Consul General of Turkmenistan in Mazar-i-Sharif meets with the Governor of Balkh

Kabaev stated that Turkmenistan is ready to support Afghanistan's energy projects, along with the development of trade, transit, and economic relations, which should be strengthened due to the shared border.

Mohammad Yusuf Wafa, the governor of Balkh Province, noted that Afghanistan is establishing a solid foundation for investment and trade with foreign partners. He added that modern equipment to check the quality of export and import goods has been installed at all border crossings in Afghanistan and emphasized the potential for increasing trade between the two countries, particularly by simplifying procedures.

Several local officials, including Seyed Karim Hashemi, head of the National Union of Oil and Gas Traders of Afghanistan, also attended the meeting, the agency reported.
