Transport cooperation within the CIS was discussed at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation
Issues of cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors within the CIS were discussed at a meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation, Esen Aydogdyyev, and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Coordination Transport Meeting of the CIS Member States, Gennady Bessonov.
In particular, the upcoming 44th meeting of the Coordinating Transport Meeting of CIS member states, scheduled for November in Moscow during Transport Week 2024, was discussed in detail, according to the Turkmen embassy.
Turkmenistan is developing a comprehensive agenda for international transport and transit interaction, including within the CIS, considering plans to enhance the potential of the "North-South" corridor and its eastern route, the Turkmenbashi international seaport, and the establishment of a logistics center of Turkmenistan in the port special economic zone of the Astrakhan region, as well as the implementation of digital technologies in the industry and other projects.
