The Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea held talks in Ashgabat
On Monday, September 23, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea Park Sang-woo discussed the status and prospects of cooperation regarding Turkmenistan's major projects aimed at expanding transport, transit, and logistics infrastructure.
The meeting highlighted the success of long-standing collaboration, particularly in the road transport sector, and focused on potential cooperation opportunities in urban development, seismology, and transport, according to a press release from the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
Earlier this month, a meeting was held in Seoul between Minister Park Sang-woo and Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, who discussed the possibilities of applying Korean technologies in the development of a smart city. The meeting was held on the margins of the World Smart City Expo, where on September 5, the Turkmen city of Arkadag received three awards.
