The year 2025 has been declared the "International Year of Peace and Trust" in Turkmenistan
Based on the Resolution of the UN General Assembly initiated by Turkmenistan, 2025 has been declared the "International Year of Peace and Trust" in Turkmenistan. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which was held in Ashgabat on September 24.
"... Turkmenistan, as a reliable participant in the international political space, implements an open, peaceful, positive foreign policy at the regional and international levels, occupies an important place in the world in developing fruitful cooperation, strengthening peace and security ...", the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan says.
In accordance with the Decree, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, ministries and sectoral departments, political parties and public organizations of Turkmenistan should ensure that celebrations and events are held at a high level and in an organized manner; create an Organizational State Committee for Celebrations and Events in commemoration of 2025 – the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and approve its composition.
