Ashgabat hosted talks on the development of Turkmen-Malaysian ties


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted Turkmen-Malaysian inter-ministerial consultations. The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan's delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov, while the Malaysian delegation was headed by Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dato Ahmad Rozian bin Abd Gani.
During the meeting, the diplomats of the two countries confirmed mutual interest in continuing the dialog and expanding the legal framework of interaction. The sides emphasized the importance of regular consultations between the foreign ministries to strengthen relations.
In order to implement the reached agreements, the participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities of holding business forums, thematic exhibitions, organization of business missions and activation of contacts between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the humanitarian component of the Turkmen-Malaysian relations. The sides expressed interest in deepening cooperation in education, science, culture, tourism and healthcare.
