Turkmenistan participates in the Digital Learning Week in Paris

As part of the Digital Learning Week, which runs until 5 September, a round table was held at the level of education ministers, where issues of integrating artificial intelligence into education to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals were discussed. At the event, the delegation of Turkmenistan was represented by Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO Maksat Charyev and the Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan Gulnabat Gurdova.

Representatives from Turkmenistan will also participate in subsequent discussions and events during the Week. These include sessions focused on the ethical aspects of AI in secondary school and higher education, as well as discussions on digital literacy, lessons learned from the experience of early users of generative AI in education. Special attention will be paid to teachers' competences in the field of AI, according to information on the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The transition to sustainable and environmentally friendly education will be an important theme. A plenary session dedicated to the political aspects of a sustainable future is expected, as well as a series of practical sessions on the potential of digital technologies for greening education. The day will conclude with a Youth Forum, where young activists from around the world will discuss the role of digital technologies in education and their impact on the environment.
