Turkmenistan is ready to supply cement and other construction materials to Tatarstan. This was stated by Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Serdar Jorayev at the ninth meeting of the Turkmen-Tatarstan working group on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, which took place on August 27 in Kazan.
“This year, we launched two cement plants, each with a capacity of 1 million tons of products per year. Therefore, there is huge potential in this matter, it can be developed,” Jorayev said.
The capacity of all cement plants in Turkmenistan is 5 million tons of products per year. They produce the most popular brands of cement using modern technology.
According to Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko, a huge number of facilities are being built in Tatarstan, and there is a shortage of cement.
“This year they even brought it from Iran. Maybe, according to our mutual settlements, we should consider the issue of cement, make an agreement on the delivery of cement, if not this year, then next year,” Tatar-inform quotes him as saying.
Deputy Director General for External Cooperation of the “AK Bars” Shipbuilding Corporation Alexander Yemelyushin confirmed the company's readiness to participate in the shipbuilding program of Turkmenistan. The corporation has already delivered two high-speed passenger ships of the A 145 project to Turkmenistan from the Zelenodolsk Plant named after A. M. Gorky.
