Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan met with the Supreme Spiritual Leader of Iran
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Tehran, met with Supreme Spiritual Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that today the Turkmen-Iranian cooperation is distinguished by new dynamics. As noted, the current working visit to Tehran is clear evidence of the great importance attached by our state to cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“The interlocutors spoke in favor of expanding productive cooperation, which has enormous potential and broad prospects in various sectors, including the cultural and humanitarian spheres,” the state news agency TDH reported.
“Relations between Iran and Turkmenistan have developed well in recent years, but there is still a great potential for further cooperation, which must be utilized,” Iran's ISNA news agency quoted the words of Ali Khamenei.
