Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius presented his credentials to the Speaker of the Turkmen Parliament
On Tuesday, August 27, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mauritius to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow) Kheswar Janke presented his credentials to Chairperson of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova.
On behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the parliament congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high diplomatic post and wished him success in his work to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
The Speaker of the National Parliament and the Ambassador held a conversation, exchanging their vision for the development of interstate relations.
Kheswar Janke also held a meeting today with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova. The diplomats outlined the main areas of cooperation, expressing their mutual intention to build on it.
The parties agreed to continue mutually supporting the initiatives of the countries at international venues. A proposal was made to hold regular political consultations between the foreign ministries in order to specify the priorities of interaction between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Mauritius. Special attention was paid to the development of basic documents for bilateral partnership. The possibilities of exchanging experience in the fields of agriculture, water resources management and tourism were considered, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
