Rubin FC lost to Moscow Lokomotiv FC
Contrary to numerous forecasts, Moscow Locomotiv FC defeated Kazan Rubin FC. In the last seconds of the added time, railwaymen, with a huge effort of will, gained the victory drawing the game - 1: 1.
It was a difficult match for Rubin FC. Kazan footballers had an advantage in the first half of the match, but could not materialize it into scored goals.
In the second half of the game, the situation was complicated by the red card to Christian Jonathason the 53rd minute. Nevertheless, the home team continued to attack and Rifat Zhemaletdinov converted a penalty in the 63rd minute.
After that, having the numerical advantage, Lokomotiv started attacking Rubin FC and the hosts, trying to keep the score, turned to a multi-level and clearly functioning defense. At the same time, they used the slightest mistake of the rival to unexpectedly counterattack. So, at the end of the game, being under tough pressure, Kazan Rubin FC made an acute attack, but Serdar Azmun shot wide.
In the 92nd minute, Lokomotiv drew the game.
After the game finished, manager of Rubin FC Kurban Berdiyev thanked his team for their attacks and the scored goal.
Lokomotiv coach Yuri Semin considered the draw game as his team’s success.
Rubin FC will play versus SKA-Khabarovsk FC on August 13.
