Turkmen painting presented at the international exhibition in Jeddah
A collection of paintings submitted by the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan is exhibited in the framework of the cultural program of the III International Book Exhibition, which takes place from December 12 to 22 in Jeddah (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
Representatives of 42 countries of Asia, Europe, Africa, and America take part in the exhibition and organized side events. The intensification of the cultural dialogue of the peoples became the main concept of the book fair in Jeddah this year, the organizing committee invited artists, musicians, filmmakers and actors besides publishers, and called in the countries to demonstrate pages of their cultural heritage and museum collections under the auspices of the forum.
Participants and visitors of the exhibition have an opportunity to get acquainted with the Turkmen fine arts. The works of art brought from Ashgabat to Jeddah reflect the traditional way of life of Turkmens, folk crafts, national clothes, and historical monuments. The exhibited works include the works of such painters as A. Khadzhiev, K.Oraznepesov, U. Grishin, G. Babikov and others.
According to organizers, about 1,000 people visit Turkmenistan's pavilion every day.
