Residents of the United Arab Emirates were asked to name the professions with the best reputation. According to research conducted by Insight Discovery and HAYAH, the profession of a doctor emerged as the most respected. Conversely, employees of credit organizations received the most negative feedback from the public.

In addition to doctors, the professions of engineers, teachers, artists, entrepreneurs, pilots, and police officers were highly valued. The least prestigious professions were those of call center workers, influencers, banking and financial consultants, real estate brokers, and recruiters.

Recently, stricter regulations were imposed on telemarketing professionals, with violations resulting in hefty fines. The new rules also affect real estate brokers and bloggers who promote products and services on social media.

As of July 1, 2024, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) began imposing fines on bloggers and influencers who do not have the necessary licenses. Fines range from 816 to 2722 USD, and non-compliance can lead to business closures. Both individual bloggers and collective groups are required to obtain licenses.

Applications for licenses can be submitted through the Tamm website, the official portal for government services in Abu Dhabi. The cost of a license is 340 USD for freelancers and 1361 USD for companies. Influencers are also required to obtain approval from the UAE Media Council.
