President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed developing a “Large Turkic language model” using AI. The initiative was announced during the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Shusha, the international news agency of Kazakhstan reports with reference to the presidential residence.

Tokayev noted the importance for the Turkic states of the issue of preserving their original civilization and national languages.

The head of Kazakhstan also called for full use of the potential of the Astana Hub technology park, which deals with IT startups in Central Asia.

Currently, work is underway to lay a fiber-optic cable along the bottom of the Caspian Sea. The implementation of the project will increase the efficiency of our interaction and create conditions for the socio-economic growth of the region.
