The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine organized a mini-football tournament among the students in Kyiv
In the anniversary year of “The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi,” the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine organized a youth mini-football tournament among Turkmen students of Kyiv higher educational institutions, on the eve of the celebration of the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi.
During the opening ceremony of the sports tournament, diplomatic staff of the Embassy emphasized that mass sports events are regularly held in our country, numerous sports facilities are being built, and areas for active sports and recreation are being developed. All these initiatives aimed at improving the sphere of physical culture and sports, developing the principles of a healthy lifestyle are an integral part of the state policy of our country, pursued by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Turkmen youth always actively supports sports initiatives of Turkmenistan. Likewise, the football tournament in the Ukrainian capital is a significant support for the strategy for the development of physical culture and sports among Turkmen citizens and an excellent example for the younger generation.
This event has a double mission, because it is timed to coincide with the upcoming celebration of the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, in the year called the year of “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi.”
In the sports competition among Turkmen students studying at universities in Kiev, the “Burgut” football team took 1st place, the “Ussat” team took 2nd place, and the “Yyldyz” team took 3rd place.
The captain of the “Burgut” team was awarded the Challenge Cup of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, and all participants in the football tournament were expressed gratitude for their active participation in sports events and wishes of success in their further implementation.
