The first bookstore of licensed Cambridge University Press educational textbooks was opened in Ashgabat and "Dalchin" individual enterprise has become its official distributor. The symbolic red tape was cut by the Director of the firm Nazar Atajanov and public relations manager of the British Embassy in Turkmenistan Myrat Kakadzhikov. New bookstore is open to all those who would like to master the language, as teaching materials of Cambridge University Press are among the most effective. This fact has been reinforced by the learners of Dalchyn, who achieve high level of proficiency within short period thanks to unique teaching methodology developed a this famous British educational institution. “Main feature of our approach is full immersion into the language”, says Olga Orazovna, head of the language-teaching departmentof Dalchyn education centre. “We do not force listeners to learn the rules, but create an environment that encourages them to speak the language they study. This is mainly thanks to Cambridge University Press education materials, which smoothly introduce learners into the language, as they simply do not notice transition, when even with limited understanding of foreign vocabulary they suddenly begin to understand them, and then, gradually start talking themselves”. New bookstore offers more than hundred different titles, which include educational materials, fiction books, special purpose materials etc. Those who study at Dalchyn can use bookstore and resource centre free of charge. “Our resource centre is the place where learners can watch movies, read books and listen to music and songs in different languages”, says Nazar Atajanov, director of IE Dalchyn. “Listeners of our courses can also take literature home, join reading or movie club”. In addition to the bookstore, IE Dalchyn has another premier, which is Altyn Alaw coffee shop (stands for Golden Torch), made in the style of classical London coffee shops. This cosy place is open to public as well as for the students of Dalchyn, where they can immerse into British culture through theme evenings, and various other events, which will provide them with opportunity to immerse into the atmosphere of foggy Albion and practice their newly acquired skills. - The opening of this wonderful bookstore, and in general, expansion of cooperation between Dalchyn and University of Cambridge, are important steps to strengthen intergovernmental dialogue between Turkmenistan and Great Britain – said the representative of the British Embassy Myrat Kakadzhikov. – It may well be that listeners of this particular language school and customers of this bookstore will further strengthen communication between Turkmenistan and the UK. A well thought out plan of the Resource centre and the coffee shop will enable learners to further immerse into the British culture and facilitate their language learning.  Coffee shop also offers its visitors free Wi-Fi and rich selection of coffee drinks and snacks.
