An organizing committee has been established to prepare state events to be held as part of the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. The resolution was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, while approving the organizing committee.

The document instructs the relevant ministries and departments, administrations of the regions, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag to ensure that celebrations and events on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence are held at a high organizational level, the national State Television news outlet reported.

Turkmenistan's Independence Day is celebrated on September 27, and is a public holiday in the country.
