British driver of "Mercedes" Lewis Hamilton has shown the best time following the results of the sixth stage of the World championship in the auto racing "Formula-1" - Grand prix of Spain. Max Verstappen of "Red Bull" finished second, teammate of Hamilton Valtteri Bottas became third.
The failure of Bottas at the start became a key moment of the race. In qualification he has lost Hamilton less than one tenth and started from the second position, but in the arrival beginning was mistaken and has taken fourth place having passed forward Verstappen and Stroll. As a result he was limited only to overtaking of the last.
- For me a key moment was at the start - after that it was too hard. All know how it is hard to overtake on this line. I am not sure what has occurred, but Lewis’s start was good, - the pilot «F-1» commented.
In Barcelona the British finished race, being in the lead from start to finish. And in 156th time in the career he occupied prize-winning places, established a new record in the history of races of "Formula -1". Hamilton surpassed Michael Schumacher's achievement. the famoyus German had only 155 "podiums" in his career.
- At all I do not know what to tell. All it is very strange. All of us grew, observing Michael's races and dreamt to appear once in «F-1». Michael – an improbable athlete and racer, and it always confuses me when my name is mentioned in the same row with it, - the sixfold world champion admitted.
After six stages Lewis Hamilton is in the lead in the general offset of race drivers with 132 points, Verstappen (95), and on the third position of Bottas (89) goes second.
In the rating of designers "Mercedes" is in the lead with a separation - 221 point, the second - "Red Bull" (135), «Racing Point» (63) accordingly on 3rd place.
The following stage of the World championship will pass from August 28 to August 30 in Belgium, at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
