The Embassy of Turkmenistan in China expressed gratitude to the impressive results of schoolchildren from the Celestial Empire
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in China sent a letter of gratitude to the Foreign Affairs Office of the provincial government in connection with the impressive results of schoolchildren from the Chinese province of Gansu at the International Mathematics Olympiad, which was held in the city of Arkadag from March 25 to 30, 2024.
Students from China won a total of 3 gold and 6 bronze medals on behalf of the Chinese team and finished third in the team's overall score. Among them are Du Xiaoyu and Ma Zihan, who took first and second place.
“This achievement serves as a striking example of the successful work of Chinese educational institutions aimed at encouraging and developing youth talents. The Embassy is confident that the successful participation of Chinese students will inspire their peers in their pursuit of academic excellence, and the very fact of their participation in a broader aspect will serve to strengthen the traditional ties of friendship between Turkmenistan and China, and will promote mutual understanding between the peoples of both countries,” the letter says.
The International Olympiad in Mathematics was held on the basis of the Specialized Educational Complex No. 1 under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The Olympiad timed to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great classical poet Magtymguly Fragi, brought together over 120 schoolchildren from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Qatar, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia.
