Turkmen and Tajik companies signed agreements at a business forum in Dushanbe
A business forum was held in Dushanbe with the participation of representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The business meeting was organized as part of the official visit of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Tajikistan.
At the opening of the event, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Dzhumakhonzoda and Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev expressed the common opinion that holding such a forum will play a significant role in expanding cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two states and strengthening bilateral economic ties.
The agenda of the meeting included mainly issues of trade and investment interaction, industrial cooperation and other economic topics.
At the end of the business forum, five agreements on bilateral cooperation were signed.
In particular, the individual enterprise “Polat dokma we söwda”, which produces high-quality knitted fabrics, synthetic and cotton yarn for the production of carpets and carpet products, entered into an agreement with the enterprise “Kolinkhoi Dushanbe” (“Carpets of Dushanbe”); individual enterprise “Tajir Yoly” from Mary (production of automobile filters) - with Tajik entrepreneur Shukhrat Nazarov; the largest manufacturer of confectionery products in Turkmenistan, BC "Hasar" - with the wholesale food supplier Faizi Khurshed LLC. Turkmen entrepreneur Meret Meredov, who owns food production enterprises, signed an agreement with the supplier company Nuri Idris, and entrepreneur Rakhim Begjanov signed an agreement with the universal corporation Yokut 2000.
