The Caspian Sea Initiative will be presented


at COP29 "Within the framework of the COP29 Climate Change Action Program, a prestigious international event hosted by Azerbaijan, will be dedicated to the Caspian Sea initiative," Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Umaira Tagieva said, speaking at a five-party meeting of representatives of the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Caspian states in Baku.
The Deputy Minister also noted that the Caspian initiative can contribute to solving the maritime problem not only at the national and regional levels, but also within the framework of global climate change adaptation programs, Azertac writes on Thursday.
The next, 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) will be held in Azerbaijan in 2024. The decision on this was made at the COP28 plenary meeting held in Dubai on December 11 last year. Within two weeks, Baku will become the center of the world and will receive about 70-80 thousand foreign guests.
