Mikhail Gusman, First Deputy Director General of TASS, noted the growing interest of the Russian audience in Turkmenistan, which the leading Russian news agency is designed to satisfy, among other things.
Guzman said this at a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdiyev on Wednesday. The First Deputy Director General of TASS spoke about his recent trip to Turkmenistan, noting the effectiveness of the meetings and expressing gratitude to the Turkmen side for the hospitality and excellent organization of the visit.
During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia in the information sphere. The importance of cooperation through news agencies, news exchanges, which serve as a factor of friendship, good-neighborliness and mutual understanding between the Turkmen and Russian peoples, was noted, the embassy said in a statement.
The interlocutors agreed to continue working contacts.
Turkmenistan is open to broad cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian field, an important element of which is joint work in the information field, the diplomatic mission added.
