Logistics can become the subject of trading

The St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange plans to make services for the transportation of goods with exchange goods.

This was stated by president of the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange Igor Artemyev.

The Exchange also considers options for selling insurance and freight. That is, it implies the trade in logistics services and the formation of indices of such services, primarily through railways, Artemyev said.

This initiative has already been approved in the Central Bank of Russia.

But as some experts believe, it is necessary to take into account a number of nuances. For example, establish standardization, including in determining the cost of transportation services.
