The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan will pay a visit to Tajikistan
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will pay a visit to Tajikistan. The arrival of the national leader of the Turkmen people in the republic is expected on April 4.
A large delegation of Turkmen artists will also be in Tajikistan these days. April 3 at the Opera and Ballet Theater named after Sadriddin Aini will host a concert of masters of arts of Turkmenistan. And on April 4, the National Museum will present paintings and samples of decorative and applied art by Turkmen masters, as well as a concert program with the participation of masters of arts of the two countries. Then the guests from Turkmenistan will travel to the regions of Tajikistan.
Within the framework of the visit of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a high-level meeting is scheduled where relations between the states in various fields will be discussed. This is reported by Sputnik Tajikistan with reference to the press service of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali.
The Presidents of the two countries, Emomali Rahmon and Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on the sidelines of the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states in September 2023, noted the need to develop trade and economic ties and intensify the activities of the intergovernmental commission of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Among other things, Turkmenistan has advocated the joint development of the transport potential of Central Asia.
