Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly held talks in Ashgabat
On April 2, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with Reinhold Lopatka, Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
The meeting was held by Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov. It was noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OSCE in key areas such as energy security, transport connectivity and environmental safety has been characterized by increasing dynamics in recent years, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
Turkmenistan's effective contacts with OSCE institutions such as the Parliamentary Assembly, the Office of the High Commissioner for National Minorities, the Bureau for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, etc. have noticeably intensified.
The prospects of cooperation between the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly were also discussed at the meeting.
