A meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission of Turkmenistan on the Caspian Sea was held


The 61st meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission of Turkmenistan on the Caspian Sea was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, March 31.
The meeting was attended by the relevant Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of a number of ministries and relevant departments of Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan takes an initiative position on the development of balanced solutions to the issues of the Caspian Sea, in the development of a contractual and legal framework for cooperation at sea within the framework of international law.
The participants discussed in detail the Action Plan of the Interdepartmental Commission for 2024, affecting such important areas as the economy, security, transport and international events. Special attention was paid to the environmental agenda.
Turkmenistan intends to continue its active activities in order to strengthen relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and broad cooperation between the coastal states, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country noted.
Earlier, Iran confirmed its readiness to host the 3 rd Caspian Economic Forum.
