Dutch companies offer advanced dredging solutions to Turkmenistan

As part of his visit to the Netherlands, Deputy General Director of the Balkan shipbuilding and ship repair plant held a meeting with the shareholders of the company De Klop B.V. – a leading manufacturer of dredgers and pumps.
The meeting took place at the national museum of dredgers and excavators - “Baggermuseum” in the city of Sliedrecht. During the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed interest in the joint construction of dredgers taking into account the specifics of Turkmenistan, as well as conducting training on the repair of equipment and mechanisms of technical fleet vessels at the Balkan shipyard.

Representatives of De Klop B.V. supported this initiative and proposed to consider a project for an environmentally friendly dredger powered by electric motors. This decision may be relevant for Turkmenistan, given the low cost of electricity in the country, according to a message on the website of the Turkmendenizderyayollary agency.

The Deputy Director General of the Balkan shipyard also held negotiations with representatives of Dredge Yard B.V. and Dredging Service Europe - reputable suppliers in the field of dredge construction and maintenance. They expressed interest in participating in dredging work in the Caspian Sea, as well as in the internal waters of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of dredging using modern technologies.

The same topic was discussed at a meeting with the management of Damen Shipyards Group, a world leader in the field of shipbuilding and dredging, which took place at the company's headquarters in Gorinchem.
