The action "Day without a car" was held in Tashkent on March 29. On this day, managers and other employees of all republican and local executive authorities, whose buildings are located in the capital of Uzbekistan, were instructed to "set a personal example by arriving at the workplace by public transport."

The heads of various levels did so, as evidenced by the photos and videos distributed by Uzbek departments and organizations. For example, the Tashkent City Hall in its video demonstrated that its parking lot is completely empty on this day. The Ministry of Transport showed how the leadership of the department, including the minister, gets to work by bus.

The ministers were seen not only on buses and the subway – some decided to walk or ride a bike.

The public project "Day without a Car" noted that senior and responsible employees of ministries and departments, territorial executive authorities come to work by public transport and set an example.
