The expressway from Tejen to Mary will be launched in April
The Tejen-Mary section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway will be put into operation in April. The opening of a reconstructed medical center for maternal and child health in Mary is also planned for next month. Deputy Prime Minister Myakhrijemal Mammedova reported on the schedule for commissioning of facilities and other upcoming events at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday.
As for cultural events, in April there will be Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Tajikistan, as well as conferences and exhibitions dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Aykhan Khadzhiev, joint concerts of a cappella groups from the USA and Turkmen artists in Dashoguz and Ashgabat.
In April, Turkmenistan celebrates World Health Day, Eid al-Fitr and the National Turkmen Horse Day.
