The CIS Economic Council agreed on documents to be considered by the heads of CIS governments in Ashgabat


The Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan in the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev took part in the 101st meeting of the CIS Economic Council, which took place on Friday, March 29 in Moscow.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the CIS Economic Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk. The Council's agenda includes a wide range of topical issues of economic cooperation.
It was heard information on the activities of the Council on Interregional and Cross-Border Cooperation in 2019–2023, drafts of a number of important documents were reviewed, including the Concept of interregional and cross-border cooperation for the period until 2030, the Concept of organizing and holding the Forum of Regions of the CIS Member States, the Concept of further development of cooperation between CIS countries in the field of the chemical industry and the Action Plan for its implementation.
These and other documents will be submitted for consideration to the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, which will take place on May 24 in Ashgabat.
Esen Aydogdyev, who spoke at the meeting, confirmed the invitation of Turkmenistan to the heads of government of the Commonwealth; he also invited participants of the Economic Council of the organization and the International Economic Forum of the CIS member states to a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS countries in Ashgabat.
