Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have agreed to establish ties in the insurance sector


Elmar Mirsalayev, Executive Director of the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan (ASA), held a meeting with Gurbanmammet Ilyasov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Baku.
During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between the two countries, stressing that relations between them in the insurance sector will be established for the first time, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
"The Executive Director also spoke about the Insurance Union of the Turkic World, which was created on the initiative of the ASA and the membership of insurance associations of 5 Turkic countries and which will soon come under the aegis of the Organization of Turkic States," the information says.

Ilyasov highly appreciated the work done in this direction, including the activities of the Insurance Union of the Turkic World.
"At the meeting, an agreement was reached on establishing ties between the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan and the insurance sector of Turkmenistan," the information emphasizes.
