A meeting with Secretary General TURKSA was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
On Monday, March 25, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Sultanbai Raev, who arrived at the head of a delegation to participate in a solemn event dedicated to the announcement of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.
The Minister and Secretary General TURKSOY exchanged views on upcoming joint events related to both the Anew and the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy. An important topic of conversation was the popularization of the work of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world, the cultural significance of the ancient Turkmen city of Anew on international platforms such as TURKSOY, the UN, UNESCO and others.
The Turkmen side thanked TURKSOY for assistance in preparing a rich program of these events, while noting that Turkmenistan aims to expand work with the International Organization of Turkic Culture.
