Turkmenistan establishes cooperation with Belarus in the sphere of labor and social protection
The opportunities for expanding professional contacts in the sphere of labor and social protection were discussed during the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Minsk. As reported by the BelTA Agency with reference to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus, the program of the visit was developed on the preferences of the Turkmen side and included meetings and consultations with specialists of relevant and related structures. Representatives of the Turkmen department also visited the Labor Scientific Research Institute, the CIS Executive Committee, where they conducted negotiations with the staff of the Department for Humanitarian Cooperation, General Political and Social Problems. The experience of Belarus in the issues of state regulation of labor relations, labor protection and inspection, employment market, pensions, etc. was presented to the delegation of Turkmenistan. Representatives of the Turkmen delegation got acquainted with the system, structure, tasks and functions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus, goals, tasks, implementation and monitoring mechanism in the implementation of the State Program on Social Protection and Employment Promotion in 2016-2020, the activities of the institutions subordinate to the Ministry. Turkmen and Belarusian colleagues expressed interest in continuing constructive cooperation and interaction on labor issues and social protection of the population. As a result of the visit, preliminary agreements were reached to work out the issue of concluding a bilateral interdepartmental agreement.
