The Council of Elders of the OTS will be held in Ashgabat
The 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States will be held on March 11-13 in Ashgabat. Participants will consider current issues related to the activities of the Council and the OTS, discuss the main directions for further joint work and coordination of actions of the Organization’s member countries.
The previous, 14th meeting of the Council of Elders of the OTS was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in October 2023.
The Council of Elders is an advisory body and consists of elders of the OTS member countries - prominent government and public figures. Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov became a member of the Council in April 2022. Head of the Council of Elders of the OTS is Binali Yildirim, former Prime Minister of Turkey.
